Just like music...
There is a rhythm to my nation.
Like the deep bass line,
Of a strong heart beat ~
That often steadies the soul.
As my own heart beats in time.
To an ancestral drum.
A native beat...
That by itself makes me whole.
Just like music...
There is a rhythm to my nation.
Call it a natural right at birth.
That's been handed down to me,
At the moment of my conception.
Only to fully develop,
Growing up as a child.
Like the vibrant race,
Of a drummers high-hat.
That serves to heightens...
My own unique sense of style.
Just like music...
There is a rhythm to my nation.
A cultural swing...
Where a nation culture has been enhanced.
Like the rhythmic strings,
Strummed on a rhythm guitar.
That by myself...
Makes you want to dance.
You can see the natural
Sway of my rhythm.
A smooth glide ~
In the way I walk.
Sometimes I rhyme quick,
But my rhyme's are never slick.
There's a natural lyric...
To my style of talk.
Just like music...
There is a rhythm to my nation.
As the horns of my heritage,
Recite the lessons...
That I love to hear.
With all the notes of a nations history,
Blowing smoothly ~
Against my ear.
Just like music....
There a rhythm to my nation.
A spiritual feeling ~
With a gospel sound.
It's in the rhythmic link
That you can feel the love,
For a queen...
To whom my soul is bound.
